WELCOME to the website of TAITSO - John Tait frae Hawick in the Scottish Borders

This site has been created to help bolster support for TAITSO in the "Am A Weel Kent Face" competition 2007.

The competition, which is in its fourth year, is the brainchild of those Fitness gurus from thinkfitness in Hawick and is run as part of the Hawick Summer Festival.

Each contestant has to win not only the public vote but participate in 'fitness' type trials on which they are scored depending on their effort and other attributes.

The competition is a bit if fun which is taken 'seriously' by some - not by TAITSO though!!!! (Hence the website!)

Bobso wins 'Weel Kent Face 2007'

Bobby 'Bobso' Froud has been declared the 2007 'Weel Kent Face' after a closley fought competition which ended on Sunday 26th with the 'Itz a Knockout 'Competition at the Volunteer Park in Hawick. Second Place went to John 'Taitso' Tait with third place being awarded to Molly "Moley' Marshall.

Paying tribute to his fellow competitors at the award ceremony on Sunday, Bobso said "the trophy was for all the fellow 'faces' as they had all worked so hard to get through the competition". Bobso went on to thank the organisers of the event from Think Fitness and the Summer Festival Committee .
