MOOR - PREPAID CAR PARK PERMITS
A limited number of prepaid Car Park Permits for the top of the Hill, available for the handicapped or those conveying handicapped passengers, may be obtained by application to us, by email or in writing, on or before (TBC for 2010). The charge per car and passengers will be (TBC for 2010) per day. Permits may be paid and uplifted from the Common-Riding Office at 11 O’Connell Street on (TBC for 2010)
MOOR - ENTRY AT TURNSTILES
Entry will be charged at (TBC for 2010) per person. Retired residents and under 16’s will be admitted to the Moor free of charge. Full-time students will be admitted free on production of a valid Student card.
MOOR - KRAME STANCES
Krame stances are available at the Moor for Friday 11h and Saturday 12th June. The charge is (TBC for 2010) (Hawick traders (TBC for 2010) with an additional charge for any extended footage, as calculated on site. Admission money will be payable on entry. No trader will be allocated a stance without proof of Public Liability insurance cover. No stance permits are available for the sale of foodstuffs and drink. Traders must leave their stance clean and tidy at the close of trading each day.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ENTRY OF VEHICLES INTO THE RACECOURSE
CARS - Entry fee per car will be £15.00 per day. This charge will include all passengers in the vehicle and applies to all parking areas.
BUSES, MINI-BUSES and VANS – For vehicles carrying more than five passengers, the entry charge will be £5.00 per day for each person eligible to pay. It will not be necessary for passengers to alight from the vehicle to pass through the turnstile. To assist the flow of traffic, it is requested that the correct money be ready to give to the Gatemen at the car park entrances.
HORSE BOXES - Attention is drawn to the fact that all Horse Boxes, trailers, etc. must pay (TBC for 2010) on entry to the Moor
- Vehicles over 2.15 m. (7 feet) in height will not be allowed access to the centre of course.
- Please assist by not parking indiscriminately and all access roads must be kept clear.
- All vehicles are parked at owners risk.
LEAD REINS
No lead reins will be permitted at the Ceremonial Rides, i.e. The Chases, Riding of the Common on the Friday and Saturday or on the Racecourse.
NOTICE
The Committee would appreciate the co-operation of the public attending the Moor in noting:
- No barbecues will be permitted.
- No large temporary covered areas which cause congestion and reduce parking areas will be tolerated. Gazebos will be permitted as long as common sense prevails but should not be erected before Friday.
- No private tents will be permitted on the parking area reserved for handicapped persons.
- All dogs must be kept on leads.
- All patrons should dispose of their black rubbish bags in the skips provided.
Under no circumstances, will free admission be granted to the Moor unless in situations absolutely satisfying Gatemen. Any person contesting that admission should not have been charged may seek reimbursement from us, on cause shown and bearing proof of payment, within 14 days from 11th June 2010.
