RECEPTION FOR EXILED TERIES

Please note the deadline for application for Tickets for The Exiles Night, Colour Bussing and The Hut has now expired.

A Reception will be given in the Town Hall on Wednesday 9th June at 7.45 p.m. by the Hon. Provost’s Council and the Common-Riding Committee for returned Teries in Hawick for the Common-Riding.  Invitations to the Reception will be issued on the following conditions, namely:

  1. the Reception is for Teries or direct descendants who have left Hawick and are visiting the town at the time of the Common-Riding including the partner of the returned Teri or descendant of such,
  2. to be eligible for invitation to the Reception, returned Teries or descendants must have their permanent residence outwith the regions of Tayside, Central, Strathclyde, Fife, Lothian, Dumfries & Galloway, Borders, Northumberland, Cumbria, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cleveland, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Humberside,
  3. no relative or friend may accompany visitors from the U.K. and Eire to the Reception, however, overseas visitors may (numbers permitting) be accompanied by one relative or friend from the household in which they are residing

Application forms are now available by email at commonriding@btinternet.com or by post from Hawick Common-Riding Committee, 11 O’Connell Street, Hawick.  TD9 9HT

Tickets are non-transferable and must be uplifted from 11 O’Connell Street on (TBC for 2010) and (TBC for 2010) from 1.00 to 3.00 p.m.  Any unclaimed tickets will be allocated elsewhere.
